This feature is available only for stand-alone application subscribers. It is not available for integrated offerings through third-party platforms, since the third-party platform API interface will govern all user access and key user information. The third-party platform will remain as the system of record for all individual and company information, where as FOCUS451 will manage only the compliance documents as per templates defined by the admins.


Every individual user must be assigned a Stage, as FOCUS451 assigns the user various tasks based on the current stage.

FOCUS451 uses standard employee lifecycle stages [Pre-HIRE, HIRE, MANAGE, RETIRE] for the purpose of template assignment to users. However, these stages can also be used in case of non-employee such as an individual contractor. 


Note: Consult your legal counsel whether your user is an employee or a non-employee.


A user can be assigned a stage out of the following: 


  1. Pre-Hire
  2. Hire
  3. Not Hired
  4. Manage (ACTIVE)
  5. Retire (ACTIVE)
  6. Terminated


The stages are in the order above and once assigned, a user's stage can only be moved forward by selected "Next Stage" in the User's profile page. As soon as a Stage is assigned to a user, the particular templates for that stage are assigned to the user, depending on the department, location and business for that user. 


A future date can be selected for changing the Stage. In that case, required templates are assigned on that future date. 


Stages Manage (4) & Retire (5) are considered "ACTIVE" users.
